The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 And by those that swim along (i.e. angels or planets in their orbits, etc.). 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 Lo! His Sustainer called out to him in the twice-hallowed valley: 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
