The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 by a burning fire 5 When they sat by it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
