When Moses said to his (assisting) youth: 'I will not give up until I reach the point where the two seas meet even though I should go on for many years' 60 But when they came to the point where the two met, they forgot their fish, which made its way burrowing into the sea. 61 And after the two had walked some distance, [Moses] said to his servant: "Bring us our mid-day meal; we have indeed suffered hardship on this [day of] our journey!" 62 He said: lookest thou! when we betook ourselves to the rock, then I forgot the fish; and naught but the Satan made me forget to mention it, and it took its way into the sea - a marvel! 63 Said he, 'This is what we were seeking!' And so they returned upon their tracks, retracing them. 64 So they found one of Our servants, on whom We had bestowed Mercy from Ourselves and whom We had taught knowledge from Our own Presence. 65 Musa (Moses) said to him (Khidr) "May I follow you so that you teach me something of that knowledge (guidance and true path) which you have been taught (by Allah)?" 66 He said: Surely you cannot have patience with me 67 “And how will you bear something which your knowledge does not encompass?” 68 He said: Allah willing, thou shalt find me patient and I shall not in aught gainsay thee. 69 He (Khidr) said: "Then, if you follow me, ask me not about anything till I myself mention it to you." 70
