Indeed the tree of Zaqqum, – 43 Is the food of the sinners. 44 Like molten brass, it seetheth in their bellies 45 like the boiling of hot water. 46 [A voice will cry], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of Hell. 47 Then pour unto their heads the boiling water to torment them". 48 Taste; you forsooth are the mighty, the honorable: 49 "Verily! This is that whereof you used to doubt!" 50 Indeed the pious are in a place of peace. 51 amid gardens and springs, 52 Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 Thus shall it be: and We shall espouse them to fair, wide-eyed maidens. 54 There in security, they will call for every kind of fruit. 55 Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,- 56 as a bounty from your Lord. That will be the mighty triumph. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Wait (for God's decree) and they too will be waiting. 59
