Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Quran! 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 as a lesson and a reminder to every penitent worshiper. 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah and the men of Er-Rass, and Thamood, 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 and the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba': every one denied their messengers, and so My warning came true. 14 Were We then fatigued with the first creation? Yet are they in doubt with regard to a new creation. 15
