Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3
And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 and gave them such signs [of Our grace] as would clearly presage a test. 33 These men do say, 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 none of this have We created without [an inner] truth: but most of them understand it not. 39 Assuredly the Day of Decision is the term for all of them, 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
