And warnings came in truth unto the house of Pharaoh 41 They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers (O Quraish!) better than these [nations of Nuh (Noah), Lout (Lot), Salih (Saleh), and the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), etc., who were destroyed]? Or have you an immunity (against Our Torment) in the Divine Scriptures? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. 46 The evil-doers are indeed sunk in error and folly -- 47 The day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire: 'Taste now the touch of Sakar!' 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 We command but once: Our will is done in the twinkling of an eye; 50 And We have indeed destroyed your kind, so is there one who would ponder? 51 And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). 52 And everything, small and big is written (in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz already beforehand i.e. before it befalls, or is done by its doer) (See the Quran V. 57:22). 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 in the seat of truth with an all-powerful sovereign. 55
