The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
