Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 Thamud, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 He plunged the villages 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
