The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 and hastily turned away, 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 you pay attention 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
