The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 When they sat by it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
