The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
