The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
