Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
But the godfearing shall be amidst gardens and fountains: 45 (Their greeting will be): "Enter ye here in peace and security." 46 And We shall have removed whatsoever of grudge may be in their breasts: brethren they; sitting upon couches facing each other. 47 Neither any hardship is to reach them in it, nor are they to be expelled from it. 48 ۞ Declare thou unto My bondmen: verily I! I am the Forgiver, the Merciful. 49 But My punishment is surely a painful one. 50 And inform them about the guests of Abraham, 51 When they came to him and said: "Peace," he answered: "Truly we are afraid of you." 52 They said: Be not afraid! Lo! we bring thee good tidings of a boy possessing wisdom. 53 He said: Do you give me good news (of a son) when old age has come upon me?-- Of what then do you give me good news! 54 They said: We bring thee good tidings in truth. So be not thou of the despairing. 55 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?" 56 And asked them: "What matter, O angels, brings you here?" 57 "We have been sent," they said, "to (punish) a sinful people, 58 Only the family of Lot will all be saved, 59 But not his wife; we have decreed that she will be of those staying behind. 60
