WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 From the right and from the left, in crowds? 37 Does every one of them hope to enter [by this means] a garden of bliss? 38 No! Indeed, We have created them from that which they know. 39 So I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests that We are certainly able 40 to replace them with others better than them: nothing can prevent Us from doing this, 41 So leave them to their vain disputes and amusement till they meet their day (of reckoning) promised them, 42 The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening. 43 with their eyes cast down and covered by disgrace; the day about which they were promised. 44
