By no means! By the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
