Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
