He it is Who hath created for you ears and eyes and hearts. Small thanks give ye! 78 And He it is Who multiplied you in the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered. 79 And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason? 80 And talk as did the people of old. 81 They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 82 Our fathers and we have been given such promises before. These are no more than ancient legends." 83 Say: "If you have knowledge, 'to whom belongs the earth' and, 'whoever is in it? '" 84 They will say, "To God." Say, "So will you not pay heed? 85 Say: "Who is it that sustains the seven heavens and is enthroned in His awesome almightiness?" 86 They will say, "(They belong) to Allah." Say: "Will ye not then be filled with awe?" 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will surely say: God's. Say thou: how then are ye turned away? 89 Aye! We have brought them the truth and verily they are the liars. 90 God has never given birth to a son and there is no other god besides Him. If there were, each god would have taken away his creatures and claimed superiority over the others. God is too exalted to be as they believe Him to be. 91 The All Knowing, of every hidden and the visible – so Supremacy is to Him over their ascribing of partners (to Him). 92
