Blessed is He who, if He please, can give you better things than that; gardens watered by flowing streams, and palaces too. 10 But they have denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blaze. 11 When it sees them from a far off place, they shall hear it raging and sighing. 12 And when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction. 13 [They will be told], "Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction." 14 Say: Is this better or the abiding garden which those who guard (against evil) are promised? That shall be a reward and a resort for them. 15 There will they have whatever they wish, and there abide for ever." This is a promise incumbent on your Lord which will certainly be fulfilled. 16 The day He will gather them together along with those they worshipped other than God, He will ask them: "Did you lure these creatures of Mine away, or did they themselves go astray?" 17 They will reply, "Lord, You alone deserve all glory! We were not supposed to choose any guardian other than you. Since you have been benevolent to these people and their fathers, they forgot Your guidance and, thus, became subject to perdition." 18 (The idolaters will be told): "Your gods have refuted your assertion. You can neither avert (your doom) nor receive any help. We shall make the wicked among you taste of severe punishment." 19 We did not send Messengers before you but that they ate food and walked about in the markets, We have appointed some of you to be a trial for others. Will you endure? Your Lord is the Seer. 20
