HALLOWED is He who has set up in the skies great constellations, and has placed among them a [radiant] lamp and a light-giving moon. 61 It is He who has made the night and the day, one proceeding the other, for whoever wants to take heed or give thanks. 62 And the servants of (Allah) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, "Peace!"; 63 And those who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing. 64 who pray, "Our Lord, save us from the torment of Hell, for its torment is killing: 65 Surely it is an evil abode and (evil) place to stay. 66 And those, who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but hold a medium (way) between those (extremes). 67 And those who do not worship any other deity along with Allah, and do not unjustly kill any living thing which Allah has forbidden, nor commit adultery; and whoever does this will receive punishment. 68 The punishment shall be doubled to him on the day of resurrection, and he shall abide therein in abasement; 69 Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. 70 He who repents and does good deeds has truly turned to God. 71 And those who will not witness vanity, but when they pass near senseless play, pass by with dignity. 72 who do not turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the signs of their Lord when they are reminded of them; 73 And those who say: "Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders for the Muttaqun" (pious - see V. 2:2 and the footnote of V. 3:164)." 74 These shall be rewarded with high places because they were patient, and shall be met therein with greetings and salutations. 75 Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence. 76 Say: 'My Lord cares little for you if it was not for your supplication, indeed you have belied (the Messenger and the Koran) so it (the punishment) will be fastened' 77
