We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
