Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 And in your own selves; so can you not perceive? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
