No, by the moon! 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 Of evil-doers: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until death approached us". 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
