The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
