Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 And his wife also: the firewood carrier; 4 In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
