The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 who give charity, 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 And those who keep a guard on their prayers; 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 In the cattle, too, is a lesson for you. We let you drink of that which is in their bellies, and there are many benefits in them for you, and you eat of them, 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
