Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
