Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Is it not of their own calumny that they say, 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 And there were those who said, 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
