The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
