The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night enshrouding 1 By the Day as it appears in glory; 2 By Him Who hath created the male and the female, 3 surely your striving is to diverse ends. 4 Yet he who gives to others and has fear, 5 for those who spend for the cause of God, 6 We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness). 7 But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient, 8 And rejects goodness, 9 So We will very soon provide him hardship. 10 And his riches will not avail him when he falls headlong (into the Abyss). 11 Surely, in Our hands is guidance, 12 and to Us belong the hereafter and the worldly life. 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one. 15 who belied and turned away, 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 He who gives his wealth to be purified, 18 And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded 19 But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High. 20 He will surely be well-pleased (with him). 21
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
