In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the Calamity? 2 And what will make you know what the striking (Hour) is? 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 And the mountains will become as carded wool. 5 Then as for him whose balances are heavy, 6 shall inherit a pleasing life, 7 but he whose scales weigh lighter, 8 his shall be the deep pit for a dwelling. 9 How will you comprehend what that is? 10 A Fire vehemently hot! 11
