It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 Behold! when the two receivers receive - one on the right hand and one on the left a sitter. 17 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present. 18 And when the agony of death comes in truth (they will say): 'This is what you have been trying to avoid' 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given). 20 Every soul will be accompanied (by an angel) behind him and another as a witness. 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 And his companion will say: 'This is that which I have present' 23 (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate, 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 who has set up another deity beside God: cast him, then, cast him into suffering severe!" 26 ۞ His companion will say: "O Lord, I did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray." 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 My Word is not changed; and never do I inflict the least wrong upon My servants.” 29
