Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Reality! 1 What is the Sure Reality? 2 What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is? 3 The Thamud and the Ad denied the (possibility of a) sudden calamity, calling it false. 4 So destroyed were the Thamud by a storm of thunder and lightning; 5 and as for the 'Ad - they were destroyed by a storm wind furiously raging, 6 which continued to strike them for seven nights and eight days so that eventually you could see the people lying dead like the hollow trunks of uprooted palm-trees. 7 Then do you see of them any remains? 8 Pharaoh likewise, and those before him, and the Subverted Cities -- they committed error, 9 And they disobeyed the Apostle of their Lord, so He punished them with a vehement punishment. 10 Verily We! when the water rose, We bare you upon the traversing ark. 11 so that We might make it a reminder for you and so that attentive ears might retain it. 12 So, when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast 13 And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,- 14 On that day shall the great event come to pass, 15 when the sky will be rent asunder, the grip holding it together having loosened on that Day, 16 And the angels shall be on the sides thereof; and above them eight shall bear on that day your Lord's power. 17 On that day all your secrets will be exposed. 18 So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! 19 I was certain I'll be given my account." 20 His shall be a pleasing life 21 In a Garden on high, 22 The fruit clusters of which are hanging down. 23 We shall say to him, "Eat and drink joyfully as a reward for the good deeds you did in days gone by." 24 But he who is given his record in his left hand will say, "If only I had never been given my Record 25 and neither known this my account! 26 O would that it had made an end (of me): 27 My wealth has not availed me. 28 “All my power has vanished.” 29 (It will be said): 'Take him and bind him. 30 then throw them into hell to be heated up therein. 31 Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him." 32 Verily he was wont not to believe in Allah, the Mighty. 33 Nor he urged on others the feeding of the poor. 34 Wherefore for him here this Day there is no friend. 35 neither any food saving foul pus, 36 "Which none do eat but those in sin." 37
