Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
