Al-Anfaal 3 of 10

O Ye who believe! obey Allah and His apostle and turn not away therefrom while ye hearken. 20 Do not be like those who said that they have heard (the Messenger's commands) but do not pay any attention to them. 21 ۞ Indeed the worst kind of all beasts in the sight of Allah are the people that are deaf and dumb, and do not understand. 22 For, if God had seen any good in them, He would certainly have made them hear: but [as it is,] even if He had made them hear, they would surely have turned away in their obstinacy. 23 O ye who believe! give your response to Allah and His Messenger, when He calleth you to that which will give you life; and know that Allah cometh in between a man and his heart, and that it is He to Whom ye shall (all) be gathered. 24 Beware of sedition, which does not affect the oppressors alone among you, and know that the punishment of God is severe. 25 Recall the time when you (the believers) were only a few suppressed people in the land, afraid of being terrorized by the people. God gave you shelter, supported you with His help, and bestowed on you pure provisions so that perhaps you would give Him thanks. 26 Believers, do not betray Allah and the Messenger, nor knowingly betray your trust. 27 And know that your riches and your children are but a temptation, and that verily Allah: with Him is a mighty hire. 28
