And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers. 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 Then the shout took hold of them in the early morn. 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 For all their deeds. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
