Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 Make my task easy 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 and let him share my task 32 That we may exalt You much 33 and remember You much: 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
