Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 and the burden-bearers 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
