Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
