The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
