The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 pay their religious tax 4 Who guard their sex 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 and be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 In the cattle, too, is a lesson for you. We let you drink of that which is in their bellies, and there are many benefits in them for you, and you eat of them, 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
