Hast thou not regarded those who dispute concerning the signs of God, how they are turned about? 69 Those who reject the Book and that with which We have sent Our Apostle; but they shall soon come to know, 70 When iron collars will be rounded over their necks, and the chains, they shall be dragged along. 71 Into boiling water, then in the fire shall they be burned; 72 They will then be asked: "Where are they you took as partners 73 associated with Allah in His Divinity?” They will say: “We have lost them; rather, we never used to call upon anyone before.” Thus will Allah cause them to stumble in error. 74 'That is because you rejoiced in the earth without right, and were exultant. 75 Enter ye the gates of Hell as abiders therein. Hapless is the abode of the stiff-necked. 76 So be patient [Prophet], for God's promise is true: whether We show you part of what We have promised them in this life, or cause you to die first, it is to Us that they will be recalled. 77 Verily We sent messengers before thee, among them those of whom We have told thee, and some of whom We have not told thee; and it was not given to any messenger that he should bring a portent save by Allah's leave, but when Allah's commandment cometh (the cause) is judged aright, and the followers of vanity will then be lost. 78
