Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 An insight and an admonition for every bondman penitent. 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 and Ad and Pharaoh, the brothers of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba'. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No, indeed; yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
