Al-Qalam 2 of 2
For those who fear God there are pleasure gardens with their Lord. 34 What! Shall We treat those who have submitted (to Our command) like those who have acted as criminals? 35 What is the matter with you? How could you judge this to be so? 36 Or have you a Book through which you learn. 37 That indeed for you is whatever you choose? 38 Or is it that you have a covenant from Us, right up to the Day of Judgement, that you will get all what you claim? 39 Ask them, which of them will guarantee that! 40 Or have they associates if they are truthful. 41 On the day when the Shin* will be exposed and they will be called to prostrate themselves, they will be unable. (Used as a metaphor) 42 Downcast will be their looks; abjectness will overspread them. Surely they had been called upon to prostrate themselves while yet they were whole. 43 Then leave Me alone with such as reject this Message: by degrees shall We punish them from directions they perceive not. 44 I shall grant them some respite, for My plan is powerful. 45 Or do you ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 46 Is the unseen within their grasp so that they write it down? 47 So wait with patience for the judgement of your Lord, and do not be like (Jonah) of the fish who called (to his Lord) when he was choked with anger. 48 Were it not for his Lord’s favour that reached him, he would have surely been cast onto the desolate land, reproached. 49 But his Lord chose him for His own and made him one of the righteous. 50 And those who disbelieve would almost smite you with their eyes when they hear the reminder, and they say: Most surely he is mad. 51 But it is nothing other than a Reminder for all the worlds. 52

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
