VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 (Their greeting will be): "Enter ye here in peace and security." 46 We shall cleanse their hearts of all traces of ill-will; they will be like brethren seated on couches facing one another. 47 Toil shall not afflict them in it, nor shall they be ever ejected from it. 48 ۞ Announce to My creatures that I am indeed forgiving and kind, 49 And that My Penalty will be indeed the most grievous Penalty. 50 And inform them of the guests of Ibrahim: 51 who came to him saying, "Peace be with you." Abraham said, "We are afraid of you". 52 They said, “Do not fear – we convey to you the glad tidings of a knowledgeable boy.” 53 He said, "Do you bring me such news despite my old age? What kind of good news are you bringing me?" 54 give me good tidings?' They said, 'We give thee good tidings of truth. Be not of those that despair.' 55 He replied: 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, except those that are astray? 56 [Ibrahim (Abraham) again] said: "What then is the business on which you have come, O Messengers?" 57 They answered: "We are sent to people lost in sin [who are to be destroyed,] 58 barring Lot's household, all of whom, behold, we shall save 59 except his wife who is doomed to be left behind." 60
