1/4 Hizb 45
< random >
The trumpet will be blown and, at once, they will rise up from their graves, and hasten to their Lord. 51 'Woe for us' they will say. 'Who has roused us from our sleepingplace? This is what the Merciful promised; the Messengers have spoken the truth' 52 It is but one Shout, and behold them brought together before Us! 53 today no soul will be wronged at all; nor shall ye be requited but for that which ye have been working. 54 Lo! those who merit paradise this day are happily employed, 55 They and their spouses will recline on couches in the shade therein. 56 In it (paradise) are fruits for them and whatever they ask for. 57 "Peace!" - a word (of salutation) from a Lord Most Merciful! 58 "But stand aside today, O you who were lost in sin! 59 ۞ Children of Adam, did I not make a covenant with you, that you should not worship satan he is surely a clear enemy to you 60 and that you worship Me? Surely, that is the Straight Path. 61 And certainly he led astray numerous people from among you. What! could you not then understand? 62 This is the Hell that you were promised. 63 roast well in it today, for that you were unbelievers!' 64 This Day, We shall seal up their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their legs will bear witness to what they used to earn. (It is said that one's left thigh will be the first to bear the witness). [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 22, Page 24] 65 NOW HAD IT BEEN Our will [that men should not be able to discern between right and wrong,] We could surely have deprived them of their sight, so that they would stray forever from the [right] way: for how could they have had insight [into what is true]? 66 And if We pleased We could paralyse them in their tracks, and they would not be able to move forward or turn back. 67
