Kingship (Al-Mulk)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Blest be He in whose hand is the dominion, and He is over everything Potent. 1 He who has created death as well as life, so that He might put you to a test [and thus show] which of you is best in conduct, and [make you realize that] He alone is almighty, truly forgiving. 2 Who has created the seven heavens one above another, you can see no fault in the creations of the Most Beneficent. Then look again: "Can you see any rifts?" 3 Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out. 4 We have adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and We made them a stoning for the satans, We have prepared the punishment of the Blaze for them. 5 for, suffering in hell awaits all who are [thus] bent on blaspheming against their Sustainer: and how vile a journey's end! 6 When they are thrown into hell, they will hear its roaring while it boils. 7 It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?" 8 They will say: “Yes, a warner came to us, but we gave the lie to him and said: 'Allah has revealed nothing. You are surely in huge error.' 9 They will say: "If we had listened and been wise, we would not have been among the inmates of Hell." 10 So it is that they confess their sins. Curse the inhabitants of the Blaze! 11 But those who fear their Lord in the Unseen, for them there is forgiveness and a great wage. 12 Be secret in your speech, or proclaim it, He knows the thoughts within the breasts. 13 What! Will He Who has created not know? Whereas He knows every detail, the All Aware! 14
