Destiny (Al-Qadr)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after He Frowned ('Abasa) before The Sun (Al-Shams)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

We sent this (the Holy Koran) down on the Night of Honor. 1 And what have you understood, what the Night of Destiny is! 2 The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, (i.e. 83 years and 4 months). 3 in it the angels and the Spirit descend, by the leave of their Lord, upon every command. 4 It is all peace, until the rising of the dawn. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
