Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 What is the Indubitable? 2 And what will teach thee what is the Indubitable? 3 The Thamud and the Ad denied the (possibility of a) sudden calamity, calling it false. 4 As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the Screamer; 5 And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind, 6 Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees. 7 Can you see any remnant of them now? 8 And Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and those before him, and the cities overthrown [the towns of the people of [Lout (Lot)] committed sin, 9 They therefore disobeyed the Noble Messengers of their Lord – so He seized them with an intense seizure. 10 Verily We! when the water rose, We bare you upon the traversing ark. 11 So that We may make it a reminder to you, and that the retaining ear might retain it. 12 And when the trumpet shall sound a single blast. 13 And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow - 14 then, on that day, the Terror shall come to pass, 15 And the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy, 16 and the angels [will appear] at its ends, and above them, eight will bear aloft on that Day the throne of thy Sustainer's almightiness… 17 On that day all your secrets will be exposed. 18 Then he who is given his record in his right hand will exclaim, "Here is my record, read it. 19 Certainly I thought that I should encounter my reckoning.' 20 Then he will be in blissful state 21 in an exalted garden 22 Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near. 23 [And all who are thus blest will be told:] "Eat and drink with good cheer in return for all [the good deeds] that you have sent ahead in days gone by!" 24 But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he shall say, 'Would that I had not been given my book 25 and not known my reckoning! 26 How I wish my death had ended all. 27 “My wealth did not in the least benefit me.” 28 and my authority has vanished.” 29 'Take him, and fetter him, 30 and then let him enter Hell. 31 "Then fasten him with a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits!" 32 Behold, he never believed in God the All-mighty, 33 nor did he urge the feeding of the needy. 34 Therefor hath he no lover here this day, 35 nor any food except foul pus 36 Which none but the wrongdoers eat. 37
