See you not that We have sent the Shayatin (devils) against the disbelievers to push them to do evil. 83 So hasten thou not against them; We are only numbering for them a number. 84 and on the Day when We will ceremonially gather the righteous to the Merciful, 85 And shall drive the culprits to Hell as a herd. 86 People do not own the right to intercede, except those* who have made a covenant with the Most Gracious. (* The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him – will be the first to intercede.) 87 They have said that the Beneficent God has given birth to a son. 88 Assuredly, you have uttered a monstrous falsehood: 89 Which would cleave the skies asunder, rend the earth, and split the mountains, 90 to ascribe a son to the Beneficent God. 91 When it does not behove the Merciful to have a son. 92 there is none in the heavens or on the earth but shall return to the Merciful in utter submission, 93 He has counted and enumerated them one by one. 94 and each one shall come to Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. 95 Surely Ar-Rahman will show love for those who believe and do the right. 96 We have made it easy in your own tongue in order that you proclaim the glad tidings to the cautious and give warning to a stubborn nation. 97 And many a generation We did destroy before them; do you see any one of them or hear their faintest sound? 98
